Great overview of additive manufacturing techniques.
All round great book about 3D printing. Not just FFF printing but others too. Info about possible pitfalls, settings, designing models and more. Only a section about slicers would have been a nice addition

Nice read and good collection of case studies It is well structured in terms of information, the chapters are based on technologies. Applications could have been more detailed, but for scope of the book it is very relevant.
This was a great book to read. The book answers various questions about the world of Additive Manufacturing (3D printing). I am a technology educator who teaches CAD, and I was truly drawn to the book. I can now inform my students more one the 3D phenomena, hopefully, to inspire the next generation of designers as the author has done. I would recommend this book to anyone who is unfamiliar with the world prototyping or 3D printing.

#6 2021Overview of 3D printing technologies - suitable for readers with non-technical background. The book is a good start for those who are looking for an introductory to various 3D printing methods - FFF, SLS etc. The book was suggested by a colleague who is an expert in 3D printing.
The only downside is I read the book via Kindle. The figures are all OK but the tables seems not ideal as the font is too small (haven't try much to zoom in the details + won't be convenient to keep of zooming in a

...more Great read if you can do so for free Great read with incredibly broad overview of additive technologies and their applications but no real focus on any one other than the general troubleshooting and support placement/orientation.
Would have liked to see more on kinematics of machines compared etc.
Overall good read especially if used as an introduction to additive manufacturing.

Interesting to to see which technologies there are with their strong suits. Also cool to see actual applications, and the examples/photographs are beautiful portrayed. I think the technical details can be a bit cumbersome if you're just trying to get a feel for all the different technologies, but then again can be useful if you select a technology/material and want to know how to use it. This is a very technically written book that explains thoroughly the mechanics of various forms of 3D printing. The focus is more for a business use and not hobby/craft.

This book, seems to focus on the material jet approach. Recommended.
Excellent resource for prototyping specialists, hobbyists, product developers, and everyone in-between. Covers a deep-dive into the cutting edge technologies available today, with excellent case studies ranging from transportation, medical, special effects, and everything in between.
